Lamellar Front

Construction phase is very time consuming...

How does it compare to all the D&D book contruction times?

I dunno -- you have exceeded even my level of geekiness, which is not easy to do! But I doubt a game book would be an accurate historical benchmark.

The problem is that this was too ambitious for an early project. There are about 100 pieces that must be connected in the construction phase, and that is just for the breastplate. I'll probably go with an antiqued 1 piece back plate due to time constraints, and I can always complete a lamellar back plate later.

My next piece will be a relatively simple breastplate, about 6 plates plus 8 straps. I'm estimating that I could finish that piece in 8 hours or less (maybe 12 if I attempt to mold it), vs approximately 40 hours for the piece I'm working on now.
